    Hiking

Discover this beautiful Sherlock Holmes statue on Picardy Place, near the birthplace of its creator, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, in Edinburgh.

The traffic cone on Sherlock's head during my visit added a touch of humor, creating a playful mystery that even Holmes might find amusingly unsolvable ... :D

This monument shows a world-famous person who many will recognize at first glance, but who never actually existed: the master detective Sherlock HOLMES. He, like his fictional companion and chronicler, Doctor John WATSON, was invented by the doctor and writer Sir Arthur Conan DOYLE (1859 to 1930), who was born here in Edinburgh. What is still missing at this point is the reference to the legendary residential address in London, which someone has also created in the komoot system. The following link takes you - at least virtually - to the British capital, directly to Baker Street 221b => komoot.com/de-de/highlight/228970
