Federa Lake, cradled in the heart of the Dolomites along the Alta Via n.1, is a shimmering gem that enchants hikers with its alpine beauty. Nestled amid towering peaks and rugged cliffs, the lake reflects the grandeur of the surrounding landscape.

As you approach Federa Lake on the Alta Via n.1, the panorama unfolds, revealing the turquoise waters mirroring the rocky spires above. The air is crisp, carrying the scent of mountain flora, and the stillness is interrupted only by the occasional rustle of wildlife.

If you love landscape photography, Lake Federa in autumn is a destination that cannot be missed on your list. Located in the heart of the Dolomites, this lake transforms into a breathtaking spectacle with the arrival of the autumn months.

The warm shades of orange, red and yellow of the larches that surround the lake create a perfect contrast with the crystalline waters, which reflect the imposing peaks of Becco di Mezzodì. It's like being in a natural painting, where every corner offers a postcard-like shot.

I was lucky enough to visit it recently and I can say that the atmosphere is simply surreal. The silence of the place, broken only by the sound of the wind in the trees, allows you to completely immerse yourself in nature. For those looking for inspiration, tranquility and the perfect light for their photos, this is the ideal place.
