We take a look around at the display board. The area on the fertile loess fields has been inhabited since the Neolithic. Celts and Romans lived here. During the Franconian conquest, a number of hamlets arose in the 5th to 8th centuries, of which:
Towns that end in "-heim", "-hausen" or "-weiler" still bear witness today.
Schaafheim (popularly known as "Schoffem") was first mentioned in documents in 817 and celebrated its 1200th anniversary in 2017.
