Shinjuku Gyoen is a large park located in the west of Tokyo, between Shinkuju and Sendagaya stations. Formerly the residence of the Naito family, it is today very popular with tourists and Tokyoites. It consists of three gardens in Japanese, English and French style; and also has 1,500 cherry trees in magnificent bloom in spring.
