Ziegelberg Castle is a historic castle in Mettlach, built by Edmund von Boch in the French neo-Renaissance style of the 19th century. In its history it served as a children's holiday home, ceramics museum and restaurant, but is currently only used by a few clubs and is otherwise empty. The municipality of Mettlach is looking for new investors and usage concepts through a transparent expression of interest process. The aim is to develop a permanently viable and future-proof concept for the castle, the gatehouse and the outbuildings. The process should take into account the diverse historical and architectural significance of the castle.
