Cycling

The Franz Haniel 1 shaft only has a small shaft structure. It was sunk in 1921 and filled in in 2021. The last German hard coal was mined here at the Franz Haniel mine in December 2018. The Fant Haniel 1 shaft can be seen much better from Bergestrasse at the foot of the dump (see photo 2)
