Day 6 conclusion: Today was our last stage from Essentho to Meschede. This time our route planning was such that we did not always follow the main bike path, but also drove different paths through forest and gravel surfaces. The slopes were tough today. Partially up to 14% gradient, which we honestly wouldn't have been able to do without our e-bikes. From Brilon it went steeply uphill again. The last 13 km to Meschede were then the reward of only going downhill. When we arrived in Meschede, we made the short detour to Lake Hennesee. In total we did 1089 meters of altitude today and we are proud to have done it. Even today there were larger sections with a head wind of up to 19 km / h.
We had a wonderful 6 day bike tour behind us, 5 rivers, saw the most diverse landscapes, whereby we liked the Fulda section the best.

Day 5 Conclusion: First the good points: The day started with a very good breakfast in a family atmosphere with the exchange of recipes. Then it started in the sunshine. It was warm enough to only drive in a T-shirt.
Then: We had a headwind for the entire route. The route was not optimal. The first 6 km was on a country road, from Warburg it was another 5 km next to a country road. For this stage it is better to take the Bikeline Tour. A detour to the Trendelburg with Rapunzelturm is worthwhile. If you want, you can visit the castle and the torture chamber for € 4.50. You don't need to go to the rock castle. We left them out. In Warburg there is the church and a nice opportunity to take a break with a milk coffee. We left out the Warburg itself. We are proud of our 727 vertical meters. We haven't had that yet. But should be toped tomorrow on the last stage 💪

Day 4 conclusion: This morning we have rescheduled our daily route. We drove along the Weser directly to Bad Karlshafen and then to our destination Helmarshausen. Today's route went exclusively over asphalt along the Fulda and Weser through great landscapes and was suitable for making KM. In sunny weather you can of course enjoy the landscapes.

Day 2 conclusion: driving off in sunshine and then all day 😎. The bike was good today. It was mostly on paved paths. Unfortunately, the eder often hides behind the trees along the way. Shortly before the end of today, the path led over a very steep slope and then descents that are more suitable for mountain bikes.
The night in the Zündstoff City in Hemfuhrt was a very positive surprise and only recommendable.

Day 1 conclusion: The train journey to Lützel was easy. Unfortunately we had to start in the rain, but most of the time it was dry and sunny. The route was mainly on gravel paths along the Eder, but beautiful.
From the source it went 1 km hiking trail until we could drive again. The first day ends in Reddighausen. A very small place, with nothing going on, but the overnight stay at the Hotel Zum Edertal is great. The reception was great despite the day off on Monday. There was the winning beer.
