In the middle of the 13th century, Louis IX ordered the construction of the Holy Chapel in the heart of his Parisian residence, the City Palace. Considered a monumental reliquary, at that time it housed the Crown of Thorns of Christ. Decorated with an exclusive set of fifteen stained glass windows and a rose, forming veritable walls of light, the Holy Chapel is the resplendent jewel of French Gothic art. Inscribed in the UNESCO World Heritage.
