You should not choose Doxa si o Theos as the starting point for the Madari Trail, as described in the Rother hiking guide, because the way back is strenuous with a good 300 meters in altitude over 2.5 km. We chose Moutti tis Choras near Spilia as our starting point. There you can park well and at the beginning of the hike you are still in a good mood to tackle the 300 meters in altitude.
