The memorial chapel on Adolphineplein, in the middle of the village center, is located on the spot where Kaatje Dierkx's birthplace once stood. Shortly after the establishment of the Sister Marie Adolphine Foundation in 1951, this house was purchased by the foundation and subsequently converted into a memorial chapel. The chapel was consecrated in 1954. In 1966, the building adjacent to the chapel was demolished to make way for Adolphine Square. In 1983, the chapel was largely demolished and replaced by the current chapel (consecrated by Bishop H. Ernst of Breda on May 29, 1983). In terms of architectural style, it does justice to its predecessor: the structure still looks like a house that has been converted into a chapel. The box bed from the old birthplace is still located in the chapel, near the entrance. At the back of the chapel is a (plaster) bas-relief depicting Marie Adophine and her six fellow sisters. The altar was made by Dom Rahder o.s.b. from the St. Paulus Abbey in Oosterhout.
