Sculptor Otto Wesendonck, born in Dinslaken in 1939, created the "Weiden Waves" in 1991/1992. The eleven-meter-high stainless steel sculpture in front of the Max Reger Hall has three vertically rising wave arms that vibrate slightly in the wind. Some of Wesendonck's abstract sculptures, with their organically flowing forms, are moved by wind or water.
