The Cable Car or Telecabine in Parque das Nações was opened in March 1998 for the Lisbon International Exhibition, known as EXPO 98.
It has 40 cabins with capacity for 8 passengers. The route next to the Tagus River, just a few meters from the riverfront. The South terminal is on Passeio de Neptuno, close to the Oceanarium and the North terminal is located on Passeio das Tágides, close to the old Torre Vasco da Gama, now the Hotel Myriad.
