The Fröbelturm is a lookout tower near the mountain town of Oberweißbach in the Thuringian Slate Mountains. It was built in the years 1888-1890 on the summit of the 784.2 m high Kirchbergs by the Thuringian Forest Association as a thank you sign for Friedrich Froebel, the founder of kindergartens. In a cultivation is a restaurant (Wikipedia).

Wonderful high-altitude hiking trail again and again with views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. I highly recommend the porcelain artist Kati Zorn with an exhibition in Cursdorf. Funny and class! The Berggasthof am Fröbelturm is just awesome. Hikers are welcomed and easily assigned a place, even when it is full. Food tastes really good, especially the schnitzel and the dumplings !!! Delicious! Very good signposting of the hiking trails. I really recommend the ice cream parlor in Oberweißbach !!
