The bandstand is centrally located on the Moerzeke village square and dates from the early 20th century.
The bandstand stands in the middle of Moerzeke's cobbled village square. According to oral tradition, it originated in Baasrode and was moved to Moerzeke's village square via the Baasrode ferry at the beginning of the 20th century at the mayor's initiative. It was renovated in the 1970s, preserving the original ironwork.
