According to legend, Anna Amalia von Laufenholz gave the city of Schlüsselfeld a large part of the Schlüsselfeld community forest as a thank you. She got lost in this forest in 1620 and only found her way out because she heard a little bell that led her to the shelter of the walls of Schlüsselfeld. Even today, the “Irrbell” is rung every day at 9 p.m. in Schlüsselfeld.
