The Hermannseck is a fascinating and adventurous place on the hiking tour. The climb is an exciting adventure that requires courage and skill. The path leads you through a narrow crevice that is about 50 centimeters wide over narrow steps that are carved into the rock. It requires a certain physical dexterity to maneuver through the narrow crevice.
The steep, rocky horn that towers high above the gorge is the Hermannseck lookout point, named after the royal forester Hermann Schlegel. The impressive stone structure on the Hermannseck was built in 1866 and gives you fascinating insights into the wild depths of the gorge.

High above the Kirnitzschklamm, the Hermannseck rises steeply as a rock massif.
The small, corner-shaped viewing point, bordered by railings, provides deep insights into the gorge and is named after the head forester Hermann Schlegel. The climbing system to the Hermannseck was built in 1866. The weather shelter that was also built bears the surname of the forester in question, the "Schlegel" hut.
