The Pretty Marsh area is a quiet part of Acadia National Park near a residential area. Visitors can find a scenic picnic area, clear-water coves, and small islands. This area was settled by Israel Bartlett, and there was a small village called Pretty Marsh with a sawmill and lumber ships. Pretty Marsh is close to Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, and the carriage trails. There is parking at the loop at the end of Pretty Marsh Picnic Area Road.
