Please check local regulations for: Acadia National Park
East of the summit of the 'South Bubble' (220 m) lies the striking 'Bubble Rock' at the top of the granite cliff. The rock, made of a different granite, was transported from the north by a glacier during the Ice Age and deposited here when it melted.

Bubble Rock is an icon of Acadia National Park. A massive glacial boulder placed atop South Bubble during the last ice age, Bubble Rock appears ready to topple into the valley below at any second. Pretending to push the Rock off the edge makes a great photo op for kids of all ages.
