Ardagger Abbey is the cultural heart of the Ardagger municipality.
With the historic Margaret window from 1237, the collegiate church houses the oldest work of Romanesque stained glass in Europe.
Other cultural treasures are the Romanesque column crypt under the high choir and a wonderfully preserved Romanesque cloister.
The former college of priests was dissolved under Josef II, but its historical structure is well preserved and shines again in new splendor after 10 years of renovation work.
