The Kranentalsmühle was shut down after the First World War. The age of the mill is also 17th/18th. Century only very poorly described. The Tranchot card from 1805 shows the mill as “Dahl Mühle”. This indicates a changing name. An offshore mill pond in which the miner Joseph Greten drowned in 1908 is now filled in. After the mill was closed, a grain distillery was operated on the mill farm for a few years. Today the farm serves as a horse farm.
