Discover with Bothmer Castle an unknown piece of European history. It was built for the Imperial Count Hans Caspar von Bothmer, one of the most powerful politicians of his time.
As an extremely successful diplomat, Hans Caspar von Bothmer toured the most important courtyards in Europe and last lived in London, Downing Street No 10. From here he directed the construction of the castle in Klützer Winkel.
Learn more about his exciting life in the modern designed exhibition of the Schlossmuseum. The tour leads from the ground floor to the upper floor through more than 20 rooms and takes about 1 ¼ hours. An audio guide offers entertaining, additional information in German and English.

Opening hours of the museum:
From 24th March / April / October: Tue-Sun and holidays 10-17 clock
May / June / September: Tues-Sun and public holidays 10 am-6pm
July / August: daily 10-18 clock
Adults: 6 Euro incl. Audio guide
Reduced: 4 Euro (applies to groups of 10 or more, severely disabled, students)
Children up to 18 years: free admission
The historic castle park and the Lindenallee, which is unique in Germany, are freely accessible.

The visit costs € 6.00, also for pensioners.
However, there are almost no old furnishings on the premises.
You cannot visit at all with e.g. Compare Güstrow Castle.There is also a "castle shop" with all kinds of knick-knacks, as well as a café, where you can get something to eat.
