Ethnographic Museum of the Zattieri del Piave

The Museum is located in Codissago, a hamlet of Longarone (Belluno), 6 km from the A23 Venezia-Belluno motorway exit on the left bank of the Piave.

Being about 5 km from the Vajont dam and the landslide that caused the destruction of Longarone, the visit to the museum can be accompanied by a visit to the dam and the large landslide of Mount Toc.

The Museum can be visited independently following a thematic itinerary that passes through the 10 rooms and the Venetian sawmill, aided by an audio guide system in 3 different languages, Italian, English and German. Special codes (QRCODE), which can be activated by scanning them with the camera of your mobile phone, are located in the rooms and identified by a progressive number of the route.

Guided tours for groups or schools are also available upon reservation, consisting of a short conference illustrating the ancient activity of floating and transport with rafts along the Piave (15-20 minutes), the screening of ancient and recent films relating to these themes ( 20-30 minutes) and the guided tour of the museum (1 hour).
