The Blue Bridge from Bordesholmer Land connects the two communities Grevenkrug with Techelsdorf over the Eider. It is considered to be the oldest iron bridge in Schleswig-Holstein.The history of the blue bridge as the Eider Bridge on the Eidertal hiking trail goes back to 1865. In that year, the Bordesholm Office and Itzehoe Monastery commissioned the construction of a footbridge over the Eider. However, it did not get its blue paintwork and thus the name of this Eider Bridge until 1992.Today the Blue Bridge is an integral part of the Eidertal hiking trail, which has been leading here since 2001 through a rustic and wild landscape along the still rather narrow Eider.weites.land/die-blaue-bruecke
