After a relaxing night in the tent, a refreshing dip in the Baltic Sea. Back to Kiel I chose a more westerly route than Tour 1. Whatever, it was very rough again. Because of a highlight recommendation, I avoided the Lehmkuhlen estate. The avenue is very scenic to look at, but driving with a trekking bike and then with a load of 25 kg, extremely difficult. I quickly regretted my decision and was totally exhausted when it was finally through and felt asphalt under the wheels. A boon. High concentration and driving skills demanded a lot from me.
A highlight on my route was the Cafè To`n Windbag. However, the windmill is on a vineyard. That means 300 meters about 10% gradient. No wonder that there were only ebikes up there. It is worth it in any case.komoot.de/tour/482834995

A trip around Fehmarn by bike was on the agenda. I have planned two stages for this. To get to the point, I had to end the second section early because of a defect on the bike and take the train back.
We set off from the beautiful Platen Hohwachter Bucht campsite in Sehlendorf. Destination camping site Fehmarnbelt in the far north-west.
On the dike we went north. Despite the travel time, there is not much activity there and you can cycle in a relaxed manner. The path is excellent to drive on. And the great thing about the dike is that you drive higher, that means you can see the vastness and always the sea. I have seldom made such a beautiful tour.

I was particularly looking forward to the last part of my bike tour. The path should lead me through the Geltinger Birk bird nature reserve and be a highlight of the day.
I'm off the campsite. Drove the trail along the coast. The paths are ok and very easy to drive.
I then turned left onto Birk. From then on, the Charlotte mill is already in sight. You should reduce your pace through the bird sanctuary, because there is a lot to see and marvel at. I pushed my bike a lot and took a seat on one of the numerous benches. I have not been able to spot Konik horses.
Then my way led directly on the coast towards the south with many highlights. The kiosks of the camping operators invite you to have a coffee. I found one of the most beautiful beaches with crystal clear water about 5 km north of Damp.
I had to mark a trail north of Kappel as a highlight. Wonderfully integrated path along the loop and the fields. With opportunities to rest.
When we arrived in Eckernförde we went back to Kiel by train.

Temperatures of up to 28 degrees were announced. With a slight tail wind we headed for the Baltic Sea. I was looking forward to bathing. I had considered "wild camping" in advance for me. I also wanted to look at a place in Markerup. My judgment can be made. However, more suitable in spring or winter when the mosquito season is over. They do very well in the pond there.
Suddenly I was on the Baltic Sea. I was really happy. Bathing in Steinberghaff is okay but not great. Slightly muddy ground.
The campsite is great but the sanitary facilities are unacceptable.

I find the thing with the micro adventure increasingly exciting. After I had already tried an overnight stay with the tent, I wanted more.
The Ochsenweg is on everyone's lips in Schleswig-Holstein. I finally wanted to drive it. My plan was to take the train to Eckernförde and then from SSO to the Ochsenweg. Since I wanted to camp in Jarplund, a start in Rendsburg seemed too long and not feasible. Finally, 27 degrees were announced. So pack your bags and go.
The Ochsenweg is really nice to drive and very varied. Narrow paths through the forest, on gravel and asphalt, it went quickly north. You should take enough food with you, because I didn't see any shops on the way. I would certainly have found it if I had looked.
The signs remind you that you are on a historical path.
I was impressed by the way around the Windebyer Noor right after ECK, which I drove along for a while. I would have liked to drive all the way around, but unfortunately had to follow my route due to time constraints and leave the Noor at the northern tip.

We went back through the glowing hell Probstei (30 degrees in the shade). I had imagined it would be worse when I started driving. The Probstei is partly characterized by shady avenues that made driving really pleasant. There is excellent swimming north of Lake Selenter. No mud, but solid, light ground and crystal clear water. Just awesome. Unfortunately no photo was taken of the Salzau manor because the passage was forbidden. Then I snuck through quickly. Really impressive. I cannot recommend my first 15 km to drive, as the road is very busy. Almost mad from the noise.

I wanted to use the nice weather (25 to 30 degrees) for a bike tour. This time it should go on, you know the surrounding area. Why not give microadventure a try. In short; Friday took off and off we went. Before that, I checked whether there were enough campsites on the tour. I didn't want to make a reservation, but rather decide where to stay on the way. Surely there should be a free space for a two-man tent. Not even close. Fully booked, reserved and only for caravans or WOMO's. I was lucky. Camping Platen in Sehlendorf welcomed me. I am totally enthusiastic about the campsite and can recommend it unreservedly.
