Kleiner Inselsberg

Treated myself to a night in the hotel (otherwise an overnight stay in shelters) before the last big climb (to the Großer Inselsberg) of my Rennsteig "conquest". A shower after several days with the Rennsteig houses closed was just too tempting. ;) Simple, clean room with a small bathroom, perfectly adequate for me. Only two other guests, so very quiet.

Right on the Rennsteig. Large parking lot. Fun park nearby.

There are very tasty steaks and Thuringian bratwurst at the snack bar

The Small Island Mountain, offers a large parking lot and a EinkehrmogliChkeit

Our hotel is located directly on the Rennsteig at the foot of the "Großer Inselsberg".
You have an ideal starting point for your hikes and excursions in the Thuringian Forest.
We have 13 double and 2 single rooms, optionally with breakfast / half board.
We can also offer you an apartment.

A dense, rustic forest 🍃🌳🌲 with beautiful paths to different mountains ⛰️ with excellent views of the regions 👀 ... Near the Funpark Inselsberg or the restaurant there, a tarred path leads to the right high up into the forest into the Großer Inselsberg observation tower. .. This path is really tight uphill... But the climb is worth it... Wonderful panoramic view... There is also a restaurant upstairs with a panoramic terrace... Coffee, cake and sundae are very tasty 😋☺️... But there are also hearty lunch / dinner dishes... There are numerous hiking trails around the Inselsberg... We will be back ✌🏻🤗

Nice place to rest and have fun for the whole family.

Here is also the Funkpark Inselsberg with a very nice summer toboggan run and other attractions for young and old. Gastronomy with fair prices. From here you can walk (sometimes quite steep) to the large Inselsberg ⛰️ the highest elevation in the Thuringian Forest.

There is a spacious car park on the small Inselsberg, which is subject to a fee - €4.00 - as of August 7th, 2022. At the entrance, we were greeted by a man who collected the fee directly from the open car window, you received your ticket and were allowed to park.The fun park is of course close to the parking lot - various ride attractions such as the large summer toboggan run & 'Wie Fly ... But also playgrounds ... boating ... trampoline jumping ... and much more. - and also several restaurants with coffee and cake offer as well as various lunch and dinner dishes.

The fun park is fun for big and small, for young and old. 🤗
