Kostomlaty pod Milešovka is located in an unusually picturesque landscape of the western part of the Bohemian Central Highlands, at the western foot of the Milešovka massif, in a basin surrounded by the hills Roudný, Vinská hora, Mrtvým vrch, Chlomek, Pařez, Kostomlatský vrch and Kostomlatský vrch. The village of Kostomlaty was probably founded in the early Middle Ages, probably even before the foundation of the Romanesque church, which is still partially preserved today. In written documents, Kostomlaty is mentioned as far back as c. 1333 in connection with the local castle. The early medieval village was located around the church. In the Middle Ages, a village was founded, separated from the early medieval village by the Luční potok. This village was centered around the road Most - Ústí nad Labem. This core can probably be found in places where the later extended street widens into a narrow spindle semi-trailer, from the western end of which the road to Světec branches off.
