    Hiking

At 2,562 feet (781 m) high, the summit of Fan Foel boasts extensive panoramas of the surrounding peaks and moorland below. Rugged, wild and beautiful, the remote location is an area that few people visit, meaning you often have it all to yourself.

    Hiking

Fan Foel is a summit in the Black Mountain range in the Brecon Beacons and it is a fantastic ridge walk. It's great to incorporate Llyn y Fan Fach and Llyn y Fan Fawr (2 lakes) into your route. Would definitely recommend especially on a clear day as you can see across the valleys with amazing views out passed Cardiff to the sea.

    Hiking

At 781 metres, Fan Fole is the northernmost peak of the Black Mountain escarpment and a prominent subsidiary peak of nearby Fan Brycheiniog. There is a nice route down from here to the lower path leading back to Llyn y Fan Fach if you don't feel like doing both lakes on your hike. It still makes for a pleasant day out.
