Usk Reservoir is a remote 280-acre reservoir below the Black Mountain. Popular for walking, cycling and the reservoir is regarded as offering the best still water trout fishing in Wales.

The best time to visit here is at sunset, when most people have headed home. You can enjoy a quieter sunset and one of the darkest night-sky sites for stargazing in the National Park.
