Zwischenahner MeerPearl of AmmerlandThe Zwischenahner Meer is also called the “Pearl of the Ammerland” - and certainly rightly so. Nestled in a beautiful natural landscape, Lower Saxony's third largest inland lake is a popular destination for guests from near and far. 550 hectares of lake area are also an Eldorado for water sports enthusiasts. By the way, the lake has a depth of up to 5.50 meters; However, underneath there is usually a meter-thick layer of sludge.Our sea is always there!The term "sea" is based on northern German language - it is also called "North Sea" although in "normal" German usage it should probably be referred to as "sea"!
