The Großer Giebelsee (Great Giebel Lake) is approximately 1.5 hectares in size and is also known as Giebelpfuhl. It is located north of the Petershagen-Nord S-Bahn station, which, until 1967, was aptly named Giebelsee Station. The lake can be circumnavigated entirely via a partially natural shoreline path.
Unfortunately, like many lakes in the state of Brandenburg, it is increasingly silting up. Nevertheless, the lake is still managed and is listed by the Märkisch-Oderland District Angling Association under water body number F 09-135.
