The Rodenkirchener Brück itself is not a highlight and the construction work on the bridge is, as always in Cologne, catastrophically coordinated and takes forever, but the surroundings are cool. The Alte Liebe is a cool restaurant and the Rodenkirchener Promenade itself is very beautiful

Maybe this view won't be there in a few years. Car-obsessed planners from Autobahn GmbH want to widen the A4 from six to eight lanes and tear down the intact, listed bridge to make way for a wider new building. A citizens' initiative called A4 minus is trying to prevent this madness.
