The Rheydter Höhe, colloquially also known as Monteklamott or something similar, originally consists of rubble from the cities of Mönchengladbach and Rheydt, which were destroyed in the Second World War: almost two thirds of the city area had to be demolished and ended up in the highest rubble mountain in Germany. Later, household waste was deposited on the mountain and finally a layer of humus and plants were added.More information: de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rheydter_H%C3%B6he
