The location is characterized by its specialized infrastructure, which is essential for the heavy-duty wind energy industry:
Heavy-lift terminals: Because the components are too large for road transport, they are manufactured directly on the quayside in Cuxhaven and transported by ship (jack-up vessels) to the wind farms in the North and Baltic Seas.
Suppliers: In addition to the large manufacturing plants, numerous service providers for maintenance, service, and smaller components (such as Jupiter Bach for composite materials) have established themselves here.

Cycling
This is probably the best-known facility in Cuxhaven. Since 2017, the "hearts" of wind turbines have been produced here.
What is being built? The plant specializes in the production of massive nacelles for offshore wind turbines. Currently, the focus is on the 11-megawatt class (SG 11.0-200 DD), and the site is being expanded for the production of the latest 14-megawatt generation.
