The Oker Dam is a dam near Altenau in the Harz Mountains in the Goslar district of Lower Saxony. Its reservoir, also called the Oker Reservoir, flows through the Oker River and has a water surface area of 2.25 square kilometers at its maximum capacity and a storage capacity of 46.85 million cubic meters of water.[3] The dam wall is 260 meters long and up to 75 meters high.[2] The water is used by the Romkerhalle hydroelectric power station to generate electricity and is partly used for drinking water production. The dam is operated by the Harz Waterworks.
