Station 3 of the Felsenkeller circular hike - komoot.de/tour/1304382405

It all started around 14 billion years ago with the Big Bang. At that point, the universe was infinitely small and infinitely hot. Then, within a fraction of a second, the compressed energy exploded and expanded at infinite speed. Shortly after the Big Bang, the universe was around ten trillion degrees hot. The first elementary particles emerge, including quarks and gluons. Fractions of a second later, protons and neutrons, the building blocks of future atomic nuclei, are formed. The universe continues its cooling process and the first hydrogen atoms, lithium and helium are formed at around 2700 degrees Celsius. The mass of the cosmos now consisted of three quarters hydrogen and one quarter helium. Most of the heavier elements in the periodic table only formed much later in stars and during their explosions.

At this spot, near the Hohen Stein, you have the opportunity to sit down. A great view of Dresden lies before us.
