The millstone manufacturer Albert Bruenes (1870-1952) had 1905 in the Terflothschen Mühlengarten build a new dwelling house, which later came into the possession of the Tiefbauunternehmers Heinrich Hardensett (1855-1943). From 1953 to the 1960s, the restaurant "Mühlenhof" was operated on the ground floor. From the garden restaurant, the guests had a beautiful view of the waterfall of the Ems.
