The village of Bohinjska Bistrica is located in the middle of the Julian Alps between lakes Bohinj and Bled. From spring to autumn the town is full of walkers and cyclists discovering the surrounding mountains. The Tomaž Godec museum documents the history of this area and there are some artefacts from the First World War. In addition to the museum there are many shops and restaurants.

Located halfway between Bled and Lake Wochenstein, beautiful church of St. Nicholas (I think) with shopping facilities and good camping and parking space. Ideal starting point for cycling tours.
