The Church of Our Lady of the Assumption is the parish church of Leopoldsburg. It is located on Kastanjedreef.

When the Beverlo Camp was founded in 1837, a primitive parish church was also built, but it was blown down by a hurricane. In 1843, a new church was built outside the military domain, in neoclassical style and with 300 seats. The church soon became too small, so a new church was inaugurated in 1903. The architecture of this church, designed by Albert Capronnier, is inspired by the Romanesque church of Bertrix. Typical is the square tower.

The church has a number of 19th century paintings, the stained glass windows are copies of the windows in Chartres Cathedral. The church also contains two marble statues of saints who were also soldiers, Saint Mauritius and Saint Gommarus, which were donated by the royal family. The Stations of the Cross are chiselled in sandstone.

The church is one of the largest in Limburg, with 1,400 seats and 1,000 standing places.

In 1999 the church was protected as a monument.
