The San Piero a Grado station is no longer an active railway station, but it was a historic stop on the Pisa-Tirrenia-Livorno railway, popularly known as the "Trammino" line. Inaugurated in the 1930s to connect the city of Pisa with its coastline and Livorno, the line was definitively decommissioned in 1960.
