In 2022, the cycle route was extended from the small station of Marina di Pisa to the intersection with Via Bigattiera, thus getting closer to Tirrenia, it is a nice stretch of over 2 km. straight, shaded and well-kept in the middle of the pine forest and Mediterranean scrub. From Tirrenia then a separate cycle path, parallel to Viale del Tirreno, leads to Calambrone, the border between the provinces of Pisa and Livorno.
