At the end of the 19th century, the buildings were bought by Haastert and Weitz, called Haastert-Villa (1898) and Gambrinus brewery with the "Jagdschlösschen". In 1901 they were rebuilt after a major fire and were considered to be the ornament of the "neuthor". In 1905 Richard Krause acquired the restaurant, which was also called "Krause am Wasser" until the 1930s
