If you are on the Hunsrückbahn hiking trail from Emmelshausen to Boppard, you will have already had a look at the viaduct a little earlier, from the Liesenfelds Hütte. But it is only when you stand under the viaduct at this point that you realize the size of this structure. It is very impressive! There is also a "timetable" nearby so that you can see what time the train will be coming over here again. Then you can judge for yourself whether it is worth the wait or not.

If you didn't know better, the viaduct could also be in Switzerland by the Rhaetian Railway. Absolutely impressive to look up at the viaduct from below. Built in a slope and a curve. A great feat of engineering.
