From this rest area you have a great view of the Hubertus Viaduct. The structure was built in a curve over the Hubertus Gorge. The viaduct is 150 meters long, 50 meters high and has six openings. Maybe you'll see the Hunsrück Railway on its way between Emmelshausen and Boppard.

Impressive view of the curved viaduct. A timetable provides information about the next look “by train”. And they come more often than you initially think, so be patient for a few minutes, it's worth it 😀
The Hubertus Viaduct (Hubertus Gorge Bridge) leads in a curve over the Hubertus Gorge. The structure has six openings over a length of 150 m and a height of 50 m. At the time of construction, it was one of the highest stone arch bridges in Germany.
The bridge was built from embossed red sandstone blocks from the Neckar area. The undersides of the arches are faced with brick. Iron beams for the scaffolding protrude from the pillars at the level of the support. The final stepped console frieze on both sides of the bridge supports side paths secured by iron grilles. Every second bridge pillar is closed off by a stepped, cantilevered stone parapet piece.
