John Nepomuk or John of Pomuk was a Bohemian priest and martyr. He was founded in 1729 by Pope Benedict XIII. canonized. The Jesuits made him their second patron of the order in 1732. Nepomuk is considered the bridge saint and patron of the secret of confession.
This may be why a memorial was built for him in the Alfbach valley.
