The Mückelner Klosterweiher lies on the boundary of Strohn. It was created around 1490 by the Springiersbach monastery - the landlords in Mückeln - and probably maintained by the leaseholder in Sprink. The 7000 square meter fish pond served to supply the monastery. In 1813, French soldiers retreating from Russia destroyed the pond. In order to satisfy your hunger and to get to the fish faster, they opened the dam. In 1986 the local community of Mückeln created the pond again.
The pond has also found its way into the local coat of arms; the wavy line in the lower part of the coat of arms and the 4 crosses symbolize the monastery pond and the manorial rule of the Augustinian monastery in Springiersbach.
