The Hexenbrünnle rises in the lower Höllental at the south-eastern foot of the Bramberg. It was first mentioned in writing in 1621 as "Dampfinger Brünnlein". Together with the Höllenbach, it feeds a pond a few hundred meters below in the Höllental, which is home to numerous water-loving animal and plant species.

Hiking

The Höllenbach first runs along the Deutschhof district and, with the eastern clearing Im Grund, passes the first former vineyard.
Shortly thereafter it reaches the second eastern clearing Am Bramberg, is fed by the Hexenbrünnle and then runs past a biotope.
The stream now runs southwest through the Höllental, accompanied by the street of the same name, and here it passes two higher western areas that belong to the Deutschhof district: the Deutschfeldfriedhof and the Zeilbaum residential area.

Hiking

The Hexenbrünnle is part of the legend of the witches coming from the Main valley to the north through the Höllenbach valley on Walpurgis Night and stopping here.

"The rest of the year" is the beginning of the stairs up to the Almrösl excursion restaurant.
