Hiking

The old half-timbered houses of the 1275-year-old town of Burgbernheim fit gently into the original landscape at the foot of the northern Frankenhöhe. From the Schauberg, the highest elevation near the city, visitors can let their gaze wander over the picturesque small town and the Aischgrund in the direction of the Steigerwald. But above all, from up here you can imagine the almost endless expanse of meadow orchards along the Frankenhöhe. According to a census from 1965, there are 30,000 orchard trees in the Burgbernheim urban area.
