The Seilersturm was built in 1102 on the northeast corner of the former fortified church and fortifications on the foundation of the last of the four corner towers. The eight-sided half-timbered floor with its steep pyramidal roof dates from the 16th century. The tower owes its name to its last resident, Mr. Seiler. Parts of the underground passages are still visible in the cellar of the Seilersturm.
