The Sligachan Hotel is a historic establishment that enjoys one of the most iconic views in Britain's mountains, towards Sgùrr nan Gillean, Am Basteir and Sgùrr a' Bhasteir. It's a great base for adventures on the Isle of Skye and there's also a campsite.
The hotel bar is traditionally the final port of call for adventurous souls who've just finished the traverse of the Cuillin Ridge, considered by many to be the quintessential mountaineering challenge in Britain. It was famously the haunt of many of the Cuillin's climbing pioneers, including John Mackenzie and and Norman Collie, who are immortalized in a statue on the other side of the river.

The hotel is located at the intersection of various roads on Skye. It is a good base for tours of the Cuillin Hills. Right next door is a pub with a large selection of whiskeys.
