Sanzen-in is a Tendai school monzeki temple in Ohara, Kyoto. Sanzenin Temple is the main attraction of the rural town of Ohara, which is located about an hour north of central Kyoto by bus (runs every 30 minutes). The walk from Ohara bus stop up to Sanzenin is lined with shops and restaurants, and there are more, smaller temples in the area.
